About Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU)
Manchester Metropolitan University is a large and dynamic public university located in Manchester, England. It traces its roots back to the establishment of technical and design institutions in the 19th century and was formally granted university status in 1992, evolving from the former Manchester Polytechnic. Today it stands as one of the UK’s biggest higher-education institutions with a student body of over 44,000, including a vibrant international community from more than 120 countries. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate taught and research programmes across four major academic faculties: Arts and Humanities; Business and Law; Health, Education and Life Sciences; and Science and Engineering.
